Here we are installing RK tunes front mount intake and a charge pipe on my 2025 M240i
Tools needed:
Jack and Jack stands
10 mm socket
8 mm socket
T 30 bit
T 25 bit
Flathead screwdriver or pick
Tips:
Side bumper bracket bolts: Two bolts on the brackets that hold the bumper near the headlights are easier to get with an extension. You don’t need to takeoff the third one that holds the bracket onto the bumper just the two vertical bolts.
Spring clips: that hold on the charge pipe and turbo inlet. Pull them completely out for easier removal of the charge pipe and the turbo inlet.
Vacuum tube: on the turbo inlet….. just pray you don’t break it
Use a microfiber cloth when taking off various things from the charge pipe so you don’t lose bolts like me. Play some microfiber cloth underneath deeper into the engine and cup it so it can catch anything that drops onto it.
Side parking sensors: pop them out of the bumper instead of taking off the clip it is much easier.
