Can This Be a Circuit Board?! 🐺 | VinVout

Hey everyone! In this video, I’m excited to share something truly special—my first proper PCB artwork. This isn't just any board; it's a blend of electronics and visual design where the circuit itself becomes the art.

I’ve been doing PCB-related projects for a while now, but this one stands out because it fully utilizes the different PCB layers—copper, silkscreen, and soldermask—to create detailed shading and patterns. It’s a coyote-themed design with a working 555 timer circuit in astable mode.

I designed this board in KiCad and used layer manipulation techniques to achieve various tones and textures. The board was fabricated by PCBWay, and for the first time, I used only SMD components—including a fun trick of soldering LEDs upside-down to shine through the FR4!

There was even a small design mistake I learned from—watch the video to hear about that and how I fixed it. These are the moments that make hardware design fun, challenging, and rewarding.
