1936 HITS ARCHIVE: Rose-Marie - Nelson Eddy (his original version)

The “Rose-Marie” stage production originated as a 1924 operetta-style musical. It was brought to the screen by MGM in 1936 as the second pairing of Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald (following “Naughty Marietta” a year earlier). It was in this film that they performed their best-remembered duet of “Indian Love Call.”
