As dual beam FIB/SEM users, we've all been there: we go to lift out a nicely-prepared lamella, only to insert the Omniprobe and find the probe tip is grossly mangled, extremely blunted, and/or otherwise unusable. In this video tutorial, I cover not only how to install a new probe tip, but how to "sharpen" the newly installed tip to maximize the number of liftouts that can be performed before an exchange is necessary... unless someone mangles it first!
