Here's a small project view into a new project of mine. More specifically, a look at how I create my orchestral breakdowns.
Initially, I render down the section of my main track which leads into the break. Reason being is that the orchestral synths can take up a lot of CPU - working on a 32 bit version of FL (on 64 bit PC) only 4GB of Ram is available; therefore I mix the breakdown in another project then render it down, and re-insert into the main project. Saving a good GB of Ram in the project!
Sounds used: Violins [legato/staccato], Cellos [legato], Male Vocals, Female Vocals, Horns: Trumpet/Trombone/Tuba, Guitar [distorted], Timpani, Large Drum Hits, Cymbals [Crash/Splash], Sound FX, Vocal samples, Sound FX.
Note - this is not a tutorial, it is simply showing an insight into what I do for my breakdowns. I will not tell you what synths and samples I have used as that defeats the purpose of it being a 'James Dymond' breakdown.
Cheers.
