EP20 Front Compartment Reinforcement, Elev Servo work around, Scratching a Giant Scale RC Airplane

Scratch building a Ryan’s Rebel stick style R/C airplane:


Episode 20: The front compartment needs to be fortified a little to handle the wrath of vibration we will give it by hard mounting the engine to the firewall. I show you the inside job, with triangle stock, and then the side job, inserting bamboo rods through the sides, and into the firewall. Then we look at another issue. The elevator servos have a social distancing problem, actually hitting each other in the narrow part of the fuse. I will show you how we get out of that problem. Hopefully not much longer to go on this lockdown, the weather is starting to get nice… maiden flight season is coming.
