Reason why the uppermoons and Muzan (without Hantengu, Gyokko, and Kaigaku) want Douma to be serious is, that last time he and Akaza got a mission, Douma wanted to tease Akaza while fighting the hashiras, after he teased Akaza, Akaza and Douma, almost got sliced their heads off by Giyuu, and Obanai. But they both escaped and regenerate their sliced body parts, and the neck who almost got sliced off.
