SONODUR 3 - Adjustment

Why adjustment? SONODUR calculates the Vickers hardness promptly under test load always using the basic calibration curve on Steel (210 GPa)! Other materials are calculated using a so called CAL-factor.

Portable hardness testing is mostly performed directly on site on components with mobile devices, which also allows an initial evaluation of the results. The great advantage of portable measurement technology is:

Can be used where classical hardness testing (Vickers, Rockwell, Brinell) is not possible or impractical, such as in the area of incoming goods inspection, production control or maintenance on integrated components
