This week on the Horti-Culturalists we're returning to the wonderful spa town of Daylesford to visit the equally wonderful Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens! Sitting atop the crest of a hill in the middle of town it's a most unusual spot for a botanic garden, but the deep rich volcanic soil and high rainfall do make it a gardeners paradise! We'll talk to Patrice O’Shea OAM of the Friends of the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens to learn more about the interesting history of this beautiful spot, we'll find some of the more interesting rare trees - some of which Steph MAY have had a hand in! And discover a wonderful conservatory FULL of tuberous Begonias in bloom! You can learn more about the Friends of the Garden here: https://www.wombathill.org.au/ And more details about the garden here: https://www.visitvictoria.com/regions...
