Can we film the Musk Ox in this thick snow?

On day two of our expedition into Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, amidst severe weather conditions and thick blankets of snow, my journey unfolds alongside two fellow photographers from Denmark. Our mission remains focused on filming and photographing the extraordinary musk oxen that inhabit this snow-covered wilderness.

Situated in the heart of Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella, this national park serves as an exclusive sanctuary for witnessing a small family of three musk oxen in Norway, even in the midst of challenging weather. Despite the harsh conditions, the park's breathtaking beauty and untamed landscapes continue to surpass all expectations.

On this snowy day, our exploration takes an additional turn as I venture out to seek the elusive Dipper by a river not far from our cottage. Armed with my camera, I navigate through the snow-covered terrain in the hopes of capturing the charm of this remarkable bird against the wintry backdrop.

Later in the day, our journey leads us to encounter a family of three musk oxen, and we capture stunning footage and photographs of these resilient creatures. Witnessing the dynamics of this family unit in the snow-covered expanse becomes an unexpected highlight.

As we return from our musk oxen adventure, the video concludes with a detour to the river where I successfully film and photograph the Dipper. Surrounded by the remarkable wilderness of Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, we find refuge in our cottage, taking a moment to reflect on the captivating images we've captured during this exhilarating and diverse day in the snow-covered Norwegian wilderness.
