Thomas AEG Duck Vs ERTL Duck Vs Take Along Duck & Classic Thomas Toy Hunt Nightmare

A very close inspection of Thomas All Engines Go Duck (Metal Collection). It's nice to look at but when you consider the important features of Duck and compare to previous classic Ducks it all falls apart. Duck is based off a GWR 5700 Class 0-6-0 Pannier Tank engine. This sets Duck up to have a very important design feature related to his water tanks. Unfortunately the AEG Duck is lacking in this feature. The bloated face and AEG wedge design all contribute to the problems. If you like Duck in AEG it's a good representation.
It's weird to see how the Take Along & Take N Play Ducks incorporated the important features of Duck.

When giving Metal Collection Duck a run on the turntable the I make a small train using Bruno The Brake Van and a piece of rolling stock from Ashima. And this sets up the problems with scale related to the Metal Collection Vs Motorised rolling stock. In the Thomas Metal Collection range there is very few pieces of rolling stock. And this same problem also happens with the Thomas Wooden Railway range.

In my toy hunting for the new Thomas Motorised Classic 3 packs I get lost at a shopping centre. It's very frustrating not being able to find the new range of Thomas collectables. To add to a bad day my iPhone has become near useless after a iPhone update that's destroyed the battery life.

Duck is a very important character in Thomas & Friends, but not even Duck can save All Engines Go.
