Day 10 -Vilanova de Arousa to Milladoiro (23km). I was not mentally prepared to finish today, so I took it very slow and met so many cool people. My day started with a beautiful boat ride to Padron, then took my time to enjoy the last kms. I ended up deciding to stay 8km short of Santiago, and I'm glad I did. The albergue supports a social project, and it is run by volunteers. What a lovely place. There are so many reasons I love the Camino, but the people and their stories (locals or visitors) are definitely at the top of my list.
Day 11 Milladoiro to Santiago de Compostela (~8km). I didn't want to arrive late and tired to a crowd yesterday, so it was lovely to have stayed the night so close to Santiago, then finish early in the morning. I arrived around 8:30 am to a quiet place where I could sit, enjoy, and journal on the past days. What a beautiful experience, and I'm finishing full of love and gratitude for the life, friends, and family I have.
