Motema is now ONE year old! Her journey has been nothing short of historic. Born on August 8, 2024, she became the very first gorilla born at the Detroit Zoo. Motema has captured the hearts of visitors and zookeepers alike. In this video, we look back on her incredible first year — getting to know her troop, and how it all began, especially for her first-time mom Bandia.
