Wagga radiologist Dr Nick Stephenson AM led a session at #onRANZCR2025 on rural and regional inequity. He has been urging more rural training, saying international evidence shows that can make a big difference to workforce numbers and thus access to services. He says it is up to colleges, the profession, universities and governments to make sure that radiology rates in rural and regional areas rise from the current 8 per cent to 33 per cent, for parity.
