So you want a championship-winning Nissan S13 drift car, but you don't want to be like everyone else and swap a 2JZ Toyota engine into it. In this video, we will show two proven ways to build a successful pro drift car with two very different choices of engines.
How can one single car model remain relevant to enthusiasts for more than 30 years? That’s what the Nissan S13 has been for the sport of drifting since back in the 1990s in Japan. As drifting grew in popularity worldwide, so did the sport’s favourite car model. In the later years, the Nissans also became some of the most engine-swapped cars in the world.
We will look at two different championship-winning S13s from Europe, and score them in the Grumblo criteria of Performance, Looks & Sounds.
In the blue corner, fighting out of Ireland we have the Northern Smoke Machine aka @DuaneMckeever25 ’s 180SX. Keeping true to Nissan's power with a 2.8-liter stroked RB engine.
In the red corner, hailing from Finland is the Dodge NASCAR V8 powered Nissan 180SX of @heinonendriftteam .
Let us know in comments how you would have scored the cars.
