Community organizing is a way to put power back into the hands of those who need it most. When people know how to organize, they can amplify their voice and bring movement to their community.
In this webinar, we will teach you the basics of organizing and how you can use your voice to make change in your community. You will learn about key tools of democratic participation, understand definitions in the organizing space, and see examples of how community organizing has created lasting change across the nation.
We will be joined by Trevelle Harp, who is a seasoned community organizer and leader, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute. With nearly two decades of experience in community organizing, Trevelle has dedicated his career to empowering grassroots leaders and fostering youth development. Through the Neighborhood Leadership Institute, Trevelle's primary focus is on training community leaders, nurturing youth potential, and fostering the creation of resilient and vibrant neighborhoods.
You will also hear from Roger Sikes, Policy & Advocacy Campaigner at Solar United Neighbors, who has helped lead numerous solar victories across the heartland region.
