Silver’s recent pullback doesn’t change the bigger picture. The move higher happened extremely fast, pushing the market into overbought territory, so a pause was inevitable. While the correction has been messy and controversial, it is also allowing excess leverage to reset before the next advance. Structurally, the trend toward triple-digit silver remains intact.
Mike Maloney and Vince Lanci pointed out that silver’s math still favors higher prices once this digestion phase runs its course. After running too far, too fast, the market is now working through technical levels around 70, 60, or even the mid-50s. If those zones hold, it signals patient demand rather than broken fundamentals. With China’s export restrictions tightening supply and physical demand still unresolved, the next leg could push silver back toward 95, 100, or even higher as the market rebalances and shorts are forced to adjust.
Silver’s recent pullback is not a sign of failure but part of a broader bull-market process. After a rapid, overextended move higher, prices are easing as margin pressure forces weak hands out. That kind of reset is often healthy when the underlying driver is a supply–demand imbalance rather than speculation. Physical demand remains strong, future industrial needs are expanding, and the market is still digesting a major structural breakout above long-term resistance in the mid-50s.
Technically, silver does not need to revisit deep moving averages to stay bullish. A controlled pullback that retests former resistance as support would confirm that a durable uptrend is underway. At the same time, global supply chains are tightening. Chinese demand is rising while domestic mine output is shrinking, and silver flows from Latin America are increasingly contested. That dislocation is creating volatility, short squeezes, and sharp price spikes. Once this pause is absorbed, the setup still favors higher levels ahead, including the potential for triple-digit prices over time.
