This mod will let you to play Minecraft Java Edition with a PlayStation or Xbox controller. Controllable even adds in tool tips that are specific to play Minecraft Java with a controller. This is helpful just in case things change from Bedrock controller play.

The first step of getting Controllable for Minecraft PC 1.19 is getting the Forge Mod Loader. You can find an in-depth guide to getting 1.19 Forge in the description above. It will show you everything you need to know about adding Forge to Minecraft for the Controllable mod in 1.19. Even if you have had issues getting Forge in the past, check out that guide as it will help you fix potential issues with installing Forge.

After you have Forge, we can move on to how to download the controller mod for Minecraft PC 1.19. You find a link to Controllable in the description above. This will take you to the official Controllable download page. On this page, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down to the Minecraft 1.19 section. You will see Controllable here. Click the download button next to it, and the Minecraft controller mod for PC will start downloading. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.

We can now move on to how to install the Controllable mod in Minecraft 1.19. To do this, open up the Minecraft Launcher, click the installations tab, hover over Forge, and the click the folder that appears. Your .minecraft folder will appear. Here, you should have a mods folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, create one. Finally, drag-and-drop the 1.19 Controllable Mod into the mods folder. You have now installed the 1.19 controller mod!

We aren’t completely finished though. Plug in your Xbox or PlayStation controller into your computer via USB. Then, go back to the Minecraft Launcher, hover over Forge, and click the green Play button. Click play again, and Minecraft 1.19 will open with controller support. The controller should then work with Minecraft Java right away. You can navigate menus with it, and play Minecraft with a controller once you are in game.
