We'll look at one method for doing this using a neck block and talk about bracing schemes. Many CBG designs involve a semi-hollow design with a neck-thru body, which chokes off acoustic resonance and makes the guitars only playable as electric instruments. This design provides for free motion of the top for a mellow acoustic tone akin to a regular hollow body instrument.
