On the night of the 5th and 6th of January 2026, the Armadale Line was closed between Armadale and Byford resulting in trains being scheduled to terminate at Armadale for the first time since the Shutdown began in November 2023. This also meant utilising platform 2 (the Australind platform) at Armadale to turn around. Train replacement bus route 907 ran between Armadale and Byford along almost the same alignment as route 251, although my driver took some additional deviations. The Thornlie-Cockburn Line was also closed between Cannington and Cockburn Central with train replacement route 908 running and scheduled B-Series trains terminating at Cannington which didn't happen during the few months of Cannington Shuttle operation before the full Armadale Line reopening.
