Starting with the payment industry in Brazil, Stone is just beginning to transform the way it serves clients by designing software solutions from the customers' point of view, said Stone's Chairman and Co-Founder Andre Street. The company's opportunity was enabled by deregulation that had made their competitors complacent and not responsive to customer needs. "We saw in 2012 the chance to start something with a much better product developed from scratch that would be 10x better than the competition," stated Street. During his visit to The Industrialist's Dilemma class on February 13, 2020, Street discussed with Lecturer Robert Siegel the exciting growth opportunities in Brazil and where Stone is looking to take the company going forward.
