Kehelbaddara Padme and gang members brought back under tight security

The plane carrying underworld figure Kehelbaddara Padme and four other suspects, arrested in Jakarta, Indonesia, arrived at Katunayake International Airport a short while ago.
SriLankan Airlines flight UL 365, which departed from Jakarta at around 3.30 p.m. today (30) after a delay of several hours, landed at the airport at approximately 7.20 p.m. Tight security was deployed inside and outside the Katunayake Airport for the arrival.
Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala, Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya and several senior officers from the Police Special Task Force and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were present at the airport to observe the proceedings.
The arrests were made by Assistant Superintendent of Police Rohan Olugala of the Western North Crime Division and Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahinda Jayasundara of the CID, in collaboration with a special Indonesian police team.
