As I boarded my train at Millbrook Station a DBS Class 59205 drifted through Light Engine, which I just managed to capture on film. Five minutes later I alighted at Southampton Central Station, where I witnessed the everyday EMU activity and DMU's in the form of Class 150 and 158. The speciality of the visit was to see The Railway Touring Company's 'Royal Wessex' Railtour from Brighton to Weymouth with Steam Locomotive 34067 'Tangmere' in charge of this train. After she had passed through the station and into the Down Goods Loop I hopped onto another train back to Millbrook about 1 Mile from Central Station. Here I filmed the Special depart the DGL in a huge plume of thick black sooty smoke, that looked very dramatic, and smelled fantastic as she passed under our footbridge making her way to Weymouth. Several Class 66 Locomotives were also captured on film on their respective duties and a few EMU Class 444's.
