Cerasee, also known as Momordica charantia or bitter melon vine, has been used for generations in Jamaican and Afro-Caribbean households.
Its roots trace all the way back to Africa and Asia, but it was carried to the Caribbean during the time of the transatlantic slave trade. Enslaved Africans brought with them their knowledge of bush medicine, and Cerasee quickly became a household staple in Jamaica.
Known for its bitter taste and powerful detoxing properties, Cerasee has been part of our natural healing traditions for hundreds of years.
