GSD: Lost Type II – Just Dogs, Not Legends

This is the follow-up to my first video, GSD: Lost Type — but this time, we go deeper.

In Lost Type II, you’ll see more footage of the old German Shepherd — the kind many of us remember, and some of us still long for. But this time, there’s no romanticizing. These dogs weren’t flawless machines or mythical warriors. They were real working animals — sometimes strong, sometimes vulnerable.

We visit both West and East Germany through archival film, where classic black and tans dominate the scenes once again — along with two striking sables: one with a west line build, the other showing clear DDR traits.

This is not about perfection — it's about history, honesty, and why so many of us are still chasing that lost type.
