The Seattle User Group Partner Spotlight for December tonight was Snowflake's strategic partner, DataOps.live. We got hands-on with their CI/CD tool and learned how to take best advantage of the 500 free minutes of CI/CD development and execution time in Snowflake per month by setting up a pipeline for a Gold layer in their Dynamic Delivery tool in less than an hour.
The agentic AI part of the evening where Keith Belanger, Field CTO from DataOps.live, showed us how to utilize their built-in AI agent to create a branch in git, make modifications to the .yaml file in the pipeline to add columns, write git actions to process the request, add approvers and commit the branch, as well as generate a documented .md file for audit trail purposes was fantastic. Keith also informed us that DataOps.live can orchestrate creating a JIRA ticket and associating it to the git commits. It can orchestrate other activities such as using third party tools to do ingestion with Matillion, as well as deploy Streamlit apps, Snowpark Containers in Snowflake and Snowflake RBAC.
