In spring, a special bird comes to Japan.
It is the swallow (ツバメ).
Swallows come from warm countries in the south.
In autumn, they go back to those warm places.
They make nests near houses or shops.
Sometimes, they sit on electric wires.
Swallows are called “lucky birds” in Japan.
Be careful—sometimes they leave bird poop near their nests!
Do you have swallows in your country too?
