Ahoy there! All aboard! Come along with me!
Let’s dive right in to the deep blue sea
There’s a lot to discover in our little submarine
From the waves to the bottom, and everything between!

Let’s push off and chug-a-lug away from the shore
What a beautiful day! There’s so much to explore!
Look! Here comes a pelican, gliding in to land
It flies like a plane with a 10 foot wide wing span!
It caught a fish – what technique!
So much water in its beak!

Let’s close and twist the metal hatch then clamber down inside
Up periscope! A dolphin’s swimming by our side!
You may mistake it for a fish, but it’s an ocean mammal
They love to splash around in open seas and channels
Listen to the dolphins squeak, that's the way it likes to speak
The deep still waits below us, but before we start to dive

Let’s turn this periscope around and check the other side
A leatherback sea turtle! What a sight to behold!
It can live to well over a 100 years old!
Turtles lay their eggs on dry land
The babies crawl across the sand

Ahoy there! All aboard! Come along with me!
Let’s dive right in to the deep blue sea
There’s more to discover in our little submarine
From the waves to the bottom, and everything between!

Deeper and deeper in the ocean we now go
I wonder what we’ll see. What lives further down below?
Woah! I see a row of very sharp and pointy teeth!
A fin is on the top, a white belly’s underneath.
Is this a shark, yes that’s right!
It’s a very hungry fish, with a very hungry bite!

Let’s dive a little further, looking out the side porthole.
This creature looks so strange like fat spaghetti in a bowl?
It’s an octopus with 8 long legs to move it’s self around
They can change the colours on their skin to blend with their background
They're squishy, yes, they don’t have bones!
If it has blue rings then leave it alone!

Diving deeper underwater now, let’s see what passes by.
A school of little fish, swimming in a line!
They all stay close together moving in the same direction
It makes the tiny fish look big which offers them protection!
No one wants to be a snack!
When they find the reef they can all relax

Ahoy there! All aboard! Come along with me!
Let’s dive right in to the deep blue sea
There’s a lot to discover in our little submarine
From the waves to the bottom, and everything between!

Deeper and deeper, it's getting dark and cold
But luckily this super sub is temperature controlled!
A sunken ship is up ahead! We’ve reached the ocean floor
Let’s make our way inside the wreck. Activate the claw!
So much coral everywhere
Is that an eel? Aaah, I'm scared.

Turn the outside lights on, and give the valve a wrench
Get ready to dive deeper! I see an ocean trench!
Down and down we go, this trench is dark as night
What’s that glowing dot? An Angler fish! What a fright!
A dangly bit is on its head
Fish try to eat it and get eaten instead.

It’s time to head back up now, to the surface way above
Push this button, turn that dial, give this lever a big shove.
I hope you liked this journey, but there’s one more thing to see
It is harmful to sea creatures and it makes the sea dirty:
Plastic bags and bottles, oil spills and rubbish
We need to keep our oceans clean so all sea life can flourish
