HKS Exhaust Evo VI Mitsubishi TME Restore the Stainless HKS Hi Power. Period Correct Mods are ok

Restoring a 3" Stainless Steel HKS Hi Power to replace the OEM Mitsubishi exhaust as it has rust pinholes in the resonator. The Tommi Makinen Evo sounds great now and I'm sure the turbo will enjoy breathing easier. The car is a year 2000 model JDM CP9a TME which is often called a Evo 6.5
The exhaust gets cleaned up and rust removed with a wire wheel on the bench grinder and some hand sanding with red scotchbrite. It then gets cleaned with wax and grease remover then sprayed in the paint booth with Rustoleum high temp satin black paint. Several light coats are applied. The stainless steel muffler and tip gets shinny again with polishing mops and metal polishing compounds.
