Celebrating Indigenous Voices

Each Shasta County school has been gifted a set of grade-specific books written by Native authors, thanks to the Shasta County Board of Education's literacy initiative. The books celebrate Indigenous storytelling and foster a more inclusive reading environment for students. Two of the authors spoke with local teachers at an event where the books were distributed.
