Walking down a broken forest road, I realise how easy it is to take even, well-maintained surfaces for granted. Roads and floors make us a bit dull — both mentally and physically.
In nature, nothing is designed or adapted for us. Terrain is just terrain, and we’re the ones who have to adjust to it. That simple fact changes our presence, our focus, and the way we move.
Has shifting your focus ever turned something broken into a benefit — or a useful challenge? Do you intentionally step away from man-made terrain, and what do you get out of it? Or do you actually spend most of your life out in nature already?
