An action-packed weekend in Brazil saw the McLaren #59 and #95 entries fight through a dramatic 6 Hours of São Paulo, with both crews bringing home Top 10 finishes in front of an electric 85,000-strong crowd at Interlagos.
James Cottingham’s blistering Quali lap sent the #59 into Hyperpole for the 4th time this season, eventually lining up P6 on the grid. Race day brought hard-fought battles, tyre gambles, and strategy shake-ups – with Cottingham, Sebastien Baud, Sean Gelael, and Gregoire Saucy pushing to the limit.
The #59 climbed back into the top five mid-race, while the #95 charged from behind after a puncture and penalty setback. In a dramatic final hour, Saucy hunted down P7 with blistering pace – closing a 35-second gap to just 0.2s in the final laps!
