Come with me to Eden Camp for the 1940s weekend. I wanted to find out more about the Make and Mend campaign of World War Two and this modern history museum seemed the perfect place.
It was one of those glorious sunny golden Autumn days, which gave everything that nostalgic glow.
I find out more about Make and Mend, but also other aspects of WW2, and enjoyed seeing people dressed in their vintage outfits.
If you enjoy a cosy mix of sewing and history this is an ideal watch for you!
I found information from the museum’s guide book, which I bought, and from the Imperial War Museum website.
The two vintage stores I visited were Edward’s Shed and My Retro Home
This videos shows different aspects of war including recreation of a submarine and explosions in the blitz. There are some air raid sirens and sounds of explosions.
