Part 5 of the rear suspension upgrades - the saga continues- in this episode I start on working on the Drivers rear Traction Arm also known as Upper link front (per the OEM service manual) (see below)
short cut method, aka cut the head off of the inside blot, to remove it. this way you dont have to take off the filler neck.
SPC Performance Rear Traction Arm:
Tools used:
27 mm wrench - for the jam nut
19 mm wrench
19 mm socket
18 mm wrench
18 mm socket
17 mm wrench
17 mm deep socket
Racket
Breaker bar with cheater pipe
Torque Wrench
Sawsal
micro torch
On the adjustable link don't forget that some threads will be left handed. This will allow for the link to change sizes and therefore change the toe setting.
Torque specs per the factor service manual: N-M (kg-m, ft-lb)
Inner bolt - 77-96 (7.6 - 10.0, 57-72)
outer bolt - 77-96 (7.6 - 10.0, 57-72)
