Neal Broten, Bruce Driver and Bobby Holik each score a goal and an assist for New Jersey, while both John MacLean and Scott Stevens add two assists. Sergei Fedorov and Steve Yzerman add late power-play goals for Detroit to keep the score manageable.
Martin Brodeur takes the win in net for New Jersey, while Mike Vernon starts in goal for Detroit only to be replaced by Chris Osgood after the fourth Devils goal.
