Todd Sucherman world renowned drummer and percussionist played on many of Brian Wilson’s albums as well as playing live with Brian’s band. In October 2023 Joe Thomas (working with Brian) commissioned Todd to play on tracks for Brian’s forthcoming final album. Sadly after the death of Brian’s wife Melinda and then Joe himself the project was not finished. ‘Neverland’ was intended to be the final song of the album with a long fadeout where Todd plays all the parts. He envisions Brian soaring over the ocean to Neverland. In Todd’s words ‘his heart was really in this piece’. ‘May Brian be flying high with the Ángels and his music always be touching our souls, Amen.
