Light Rail has been serving the Hong Kong districts in the Northwest New Territories as a major mode of transport for 35 years, witnessing the transformation of Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai and growing alongside the community.
The MTR - Light Rail 35th Anniversary Depot Open Day on 17 September 2023 (Sunday) invites members of public to visit to learn about the depot’s operations and deepen their understanding of Light Rail. The highlight of the event will be the first-ever open exhibition of Light Rail vehicles from Phase 1 (the 35th Anniversary Retro-themed Light Rail Vehicle) to Phase 5, which is a photo opportunity that participants and railway lovers should not miss.
