I normally wait to do a full-version reaction to an opening until I’m actually watching the anime, but this one was so strong on the first listen for Frieren Season 2 that I had to check out the full track immediately. The song has a huge, cinematic sound with rich orchestration, really interesting vocal lines, an impressive high vocal range, and some excellent bass and guitar work throughout.

There were also moments that genuinely reminded me of the Beatles, especially the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band era in the way the harmonies and textures are layered. It was a lot of fun to analyze, and it’s great to hear Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End getting music of this level and character.
