Founded in 2008 by Thierry de Montbrial, Chairman of the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri), the World Policy Conference (WPC) is holding its seventeenth edition from December 13-15, 2024, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The WPC's mission is to reflect upon and to come up with solutions to the constant upheavals of today’s world and to create lasting bonds between the participants. This international conference gives a voice to political, economic, academic and media players from over 40 countries – from major powers to medium and small countries, including emerging countries, thus ensuring a diversity and plurality of debates.

In 2024, the city of Abu Dhabi hosts the World Policy Conference for the fourth time.

Fondée en 2008 par Thierry de Montbrial, président de l'Institut français des relations internationales (Ifri), la World Policy Conference (WPC) tient sa dix-septième édition du 13 au 15 décembre à Abou Dabi, aux Émirats arabes unis.

Depuis sa première édition en 2008, la WPC s’est donné pour mission de contribuer à promouvoir un monde plus ouvert, plus prospère et plus juste. Unique par son format au nombre restreint de participants, elle offre un espace de réflexion et de dialogue essentiel autour des grands enjeux de la gouvernance mondiale, tout en permettant à ses participants de développer des liens durables. Elle rassemble des personnalités de haut niveau, originaires des cinq continents – dirigeants politiques et économiques, chercheurs et journalistes – assurant ainsi une diversité et une pluralité des débats. Au-delà des participants, cette réunion a pour but d’aider tous les publics concernés à porter une réflexion éclairée sur les bouleversements incessants que connaît le monde actuel.
