WE FISH GLOMMA

For a couple of years ago we went fishing in Glomma, at Kvennan Fly Fishing located in the north part of the valley "Østerdalen" in Norway. It was late in the season, but we end up with a few graylings and trouts aswell.


Rod:

Reel:
Zpey wished for a brand new reel concept with an elegant and minimalistic design based on the words "floating in air". From one block of solid aluminium, nothing superfluous would be allowed to remain. Ultimate design should hint at impossibility, but still be based on the necessary functionality that will always be the most important characteristic of a modern fly reel. Floating in air is just what these reels do. They seem to hover just under the reel seat of your fly rod and I often have to get in very close to make sure there is no magic involved. The brake system is designed for Zpey only and the amazingly smooth resistance will help you every step of the way, whenever one of the big ones tries to get away. The brake is fitted to the spool to ensure a 100 % waterproof system (the only exception from this is the Epsilon 10-12 reel). All the reels are salt water resistant and will withstand even complete immersion.

Line:
Zpey Precision WF Line Single Hand
This distance-enabling WF line has been designed to provide precise positioning and delicate presentation while overhead casting at any distance. The Precision has a longer and more careful taper than most WF lines. This is the perfect line to choose if your main focus is to present your fly precise on longer distance. It turns over slightly slower than its shorter headed sibling and provides loop control that will give you goose bumps. The line classes #3 - #5 have been created to present nymph, dry flies and wet flies very delicately on the surface, tricking any selective trout. The line classes #6 - #8 are made with distinctive tapering for distance fishing using larger trout flies and minor salmon flies. The Precision line is a two - color line with a clear loading zone for easy casting.
