Redneck Rampage [Doom 2 Mod]

Them fella's from Hell are causing a mighty ruckus, best deal with 'em.

This is a playthrough of the "DOOMED REDNECK" gamplay mod, the map featured being Escape from Hellview, I hope you enjoy.

Nailz the Ravager's "DOOMED REDNECK" gameplay mod features a custom user interface, audio and a high powered and well implemented weapon set, all of which are from the 1997 video game Redneck Rampage. The mod even includes a gib feature though these do disappear after several seconds afterward and the character does provide some contextual lines every so often. The drunk/gut meter is not included in this version.

In it's unique redneck/sci-fi inspired weapon set, we are given a robust weapon set. There is proximity damage and the recoil to content with, definitely requiring some forethought before usage and some practice to adjust for the kick. I do think that offsets how overpowered this weapon set is, bringing some balance to gameplay, it's pretty fun to use overall with some fluid animations.

The map featured is from the collaborative mapset "Doom 2 In Rural Only", specifically Episode 1: Map 1: "Escape from Hellview" by myoldenthe, it's first map and ideal to showcase the respective featured gameplay mod, nice work!
This mapset itself features 33 maps, created by members of the Doomworld community to a high quality standard. From what I've played it offers a fantastic challenge and provides well designed, rural themed settings though I've yet to get through all of them as yet, some of these are tricky to complete.
