We hike up Hornisgrinde mountain for a Milky Way Photography adventure in the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) region of Germany. Together with Martijn Jacobs I spend the whole afternoon and night up there, looking for compositions and trying to create the best nightscape images we can. We are treated with an insane amount of rare green airglow which adds that little extra something to our results.
I use an astromodified Canon 6D camera with the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 Art and Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens riding on a Skywatcher Star Adventurer Star Tracker.
