TOP TEN TIPS:
1. Think about what you want the reader to know about you.
2. Be specific.
3. Pick a moment for your topic and stick to it.
4. Personal elements of common experiences can work.
5. Make sure your topic is accessible to a wide variety of people.
6. Be concise.
7. Avoid clichés and limit the number of quotes that you use (if you
use any at all).
8. Creating writing styles are allowed, but have a reason for using
them.
9. Take the time to revise and edit.
10. Get feedback from guidance counselors, teachers, parents, and
friends.
