It's shearing day, which is part of raising sheep. We are shearing the ewes in the fall after a summer of the sheep being out on pasture. Icelandic sheep are known for their amazing fleece, but part of using that fleece is shearing them and getting the fleece or wool off them. The amazing Icelandic fleece is one of the many reasons we have raised Icelandic sheep. So we hope you enjoy some of the process of fall shearing!
