All parts canonically played by Yui Hirasawa (平沢 唯) on Giita (ギー太) in the full version of けいおん!!S2OP2!!
I use these for 3D music in VRC but I want to share them because the quality is so uniquely high!
This must be the most dynamic K-On song there is and it's one of my favorites! That's why I wanted to do something special to show all the tracks that are playing for one character as best as I could which I think turned out amazing! The cover art being in front of a whiteboard helped inspire that, which I made a blackboard for better contrast! There's probably a few more guitar tracks than I noted here, but this shows all the dynamics neatly. I designated the all-track guitars to Azusa because it sounded better in her track. Some could've supposed to have been Yui's parts.
The frog mascot shows the tracks that play in every track after the first step of isolation, which means they weren't removed from any of the 'karaoke' CD tracks. I tried to remove as much of these as I could, but the FX are pretty much impossible with my method. The FX are also tricky because after the start they're confusingly quieter in Yui and Mugi's tracks and louder in others. The last guitar somehow could not be removed from any track.
Color meanings: Green = unaltered isolated track. Lime green = minor panning changes or mono render if lead guitar. Yellow = unavoidable major panning or volume changes. Red = phase cancelled out. White = not playing. Gray/Desaturated = not relevant for current track.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
No AI or other filters were used at all. It's isolated using only phase cancellation. This noise cancelling technique is applied in many layers to the special instrumental versions of this song taken from one of the K-On CD releases. In each of those instrumental tracks a different instrument has been removed by the creators, kinda like instrumental karaokes. Basically what I did is I magically inverted everything across each other in a very specific way, to make the instrument which is missing in those tracks the only one playing in mine!
You might think that it's way easier to simply put the missing instrument track over the full instrumental track. While that's true, you can't get the same quality isolation this way - at least for this song - because of major rendering differences between these tracks. Look at the tutorial I made in the playlist description for more details:
• Go! Go! MANIAC - All Isolated Tracks in HD...
I think the very quiet parts from the other instruments carrying over is mostly from the many small audio compression differences between the tracks, although I kinda like it like that. It feels like the sound is bleeding over from them wearing headphones, playing along to the song or something
Thanks for listening, use this as you wish!
