UK boy band sensation, FIVE today announced they will be performing two exclusive gigs in Manchester and London next September.

In a fine display of marketing prowess, chocolate manufacturer, CADBURYS and music channel, MTV made the press more than well aware of the fact that they would be sponsoring the gigs.

Meanwhile, FIVE gave the press a mini concert at MTV's London base in anticipation of the upcoming concerts.

The British-pop boy band comprises RICH NEVILLE, SCOTT ROBINSON, ABS BREEN, J BROWN and SEAN CONLON. While relatively unknown in the United States, the quintet, whose speciality is rap and hip-hop, is no stranger to U.K. pop chart success.

Their first single, "Slam Dunk (Da Funk)," flew straight to the U.K. Top 10 upon its release in 1997. The second, "When the Lights Go Out," was an immediate hit, as well, entering the charts at No.4.

Later that year Smash Hits magazine named them the "Best New Band" of the year. Signed with Arista Records in the U.S., Five released their self-titled debut album in 1998.
