Armaghan Arrested for Murder & Crypto Scam – Karachi Police

Armaghan Qureshi, the prime suspect in the kidnapping and brutal murder of 23-year-old Mustafa Amir, has been apprehended by Karachi Police. Investigations have revealed that Armaghan operated a fraudulent call center from his residence in Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, defrauding individuals in the United States by offering domestic services and illicitly acquiring funds. The exact amount he amassed through these scams remains under investigation.

On January 6, Armaghan allegedly lured Mustafa to his bungalow, where he subjected him to a prolonged and vicious assault using an iron rod. Following the assault, Armaghan and his accomplice, Shiraz Bukhari, transported the severely injured Mustafa to an area near Hub. Upon discovering that Mustafa was still alive, Armaghan reportedly set both Mustafa and his vehicle ablaze.

Subsequent police raids at Armaghan's residence led to the recovery of numerous laptops, security equipment, illegal weapons, and narcotics. Additionally, Armaghan's father, Kamran Asghar Qureshi, was arrested for allegedly advising his son to flee Karachi and for possessing illegal substances and a 9mm pistol.

The case has prompted significant scrutiny of law enforcement's handling of the investigation, resulting in the suspension and demotion of three police officers for their failure to achieve a timely breakthrough.

Armaghan is currently in police custody, with investigations ongoing into his fraudulent activities, the extent of his financial gains, and his involvement in Mustafa's murder.
