Ten years ago, I developed a system for remotely controlling my semaphore signals. However, I didn't pursue it further as it was very bulky and needed a lot of wiring to link each signal to a central RC system. Recently, I have come across a RC system, an Arduino controller and a servo which can be powered by a single 3.7v li-ion battery. Each signal can therefore be self-contained with its own power supply, thus making the system a lot more flexible. Still more work to be done, but the concept looks OK. Peckforton Light Railway is a 45mm gauge, 15mm scale representation of a three-foot narrow gauge railway which might have existed in the middle of rural Cheshire (UK).
