Andrew decided it was time to schedule health screenings to ensure when he retires, he would be healthy enough to travel and enjoy his future grandchildren. As a firefighter and being exposed to various agents in the line of duty, he scheduled some cancer screenings including a colonoscopy screening. Kalyani Meduri, MD, AdventHealth Riverview gastroenterologist, performed the screening and discovered Andrew had cancer. Surgery removed the cancer and thanks to Andrew’s focus on his health, he can start planning for retirement.
