My instrumental mix of "Squabble Up" by Kendrick Lamar from his new surprise album entitled "GNX". This instrumental mix features the alternative version of the song made for the music video Kendrick dropped today. 🔥🔥🔥

There are some noticeable differences in the mastering of the beat, starting with the clarity of melodic samples and the way the 808 trap bass on the kick sounds a bit more like late 80's 808 kicks that had sort of a double octave. It also sounds like parts of the synth melodies were re-recorded in studio for this version, thus giving the track a different feel. Also, notice the call back section doesn't have the big booming drums like the album version does.

Stem separation by UVR5, arranged by me with some vocal bits mixed in. Leaving Debbie Deb's vocals in was mandatory, because....well, again, it's my mix and I like it that way. I did some of the same mixing I did for my previous version featuring the album track. I heard a little reverb on the breaths loop in the intro of the video, so I added some into my intro. I personally like the album version better, but if you love alternative versions like I do, this one's for you.
